Gayla Brock-Woodland has led MSL Canada through a period of significant expansion and increased visibility, building a full-service team that has won agency of record status with leading Canadian companies, including Procter & Gamble, Rogers Wireless, Rogers Cable and Loblaw Companies Ltd.
Her 20-year career includes senior roles in the private and public sector. She has extensive experience in media relations, corporate communications, marketing communications, strategic planning and issues management. She is also a litigation communications specialist, providing communications, crisis management and media relations counsel to clients in special situations such as lawsuits (including class actions), labor disputes, conflict of interest, adverse event reporting, executive dismissals and product safety.
Brock-Woodland also has extensive experience in media relations and communications training for CEOs, senior executives, corporate spokespeople, legal counsel, front-line and customer care employees, third-party spokespersons, supervisory officers and professional communicators.
She has worked for leading Canadian companies in a variety of sectors including consumer products, insurance, energy, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and education. Her clients have included Rogers, Enbridge, Janssen-Ortho, Procter & Gamble, Philips, Roche, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Sunkist, CN Tower, Women’s College Hospital, Xerox, Clarica, Toronto Hydro, and Levi Strauss, to name just a few.
Brock-Woodland holds a M.A. in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario and is a former journalist.
