MSLGROUP and maurices Named as Finalist in 2010 MMA Awards

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Congratulations!

The MMA (Mobile Marketing Association) recently announced finalists for its Sixth Annual Global Mobile Marketing Awards. MSLGROUP was nominated again this year, along with our client, fashion retailer maurices. Nominated in the Best Use of Mobile Marketing – Direct Response – North America category, the maurices Mobile Style Club drives consumer engagement and sales through SMS. The program results have been outstanding, with 20,000+ opt-ins within its first four months and a mobile coupon redemption rate that consistently runs over 60 percent. This program, which first launched on Facebook, clearly shows that mobile marketing combined with social media drives real-time engagement.

These awards recognize companies and their campaigns for spearheading the adoption of the mobile channel for marketing purposes, and we are very excited to be in the running for one of the MMA’s highest honors. The MMA will announce the award winners at Annual Global Awards dinner and ceremony , held on November 17 at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Each year, the MMA’s ceremony serves as the concluding event at the MMA’s Mobile Marketing Forum.

“The finalists for this year’s Global MMA Awards have raised the bar for innovation, reach and effectiveness in the mobile channel,” said Paul Berney, CMO and Managing Director of EMEA for the MMA. “Their successes are models that brands, agencies and other mobile marketing professionals can look to for inspiration and insights.”

Why Should You Care About the New Twitter?

Monday, September 20th, 2010

Twitter is NEW (again). And you should care about it. Why? Think about the future. Here’s the scenario.

You are brand X. While many of your consumers are using Twitter through third party applications like TweetDeck, Seesmic, HootSuite etc. – they’re missing out on your brand experience – and that’s what they want. SO, enters the NEW Twitter.

It’s not just prettier, it’s got new features. When a consumer clicks on your brand’s tweet, all of the content, video, photo, words – appears on one Twitter homepage. No more multiple opening tabs. “Everything is in one place,” says Twitter.

Vlog: Webster Lewin Talks about iPhone 4

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

After the very successful introduction of the iPhone 4, Apple has faced customer complaints and public ridicule about dropped calls and signal strength with their iPhone devices.

Apple faced the issue head on in an open letter to iPhone users in which the company states that, “issues are actually due to a glitch in the iPhone 4’s cellular reception indicator, which may incorrectly display more bars of signal strength than are actually available.”

In a brief video blog, Webster Lewin, MS&L SVP and Director of Digital Strategy and Innovation, shares his thoughts about the new iPhone 4 via video phone from New York.
