RPM International Inc. is a $3.3 billion multinational holding company with subsidiaries that manufacture and market high-performance coatings, sealants and specialty chemicals. The company is home to leading brands such as Rust-Oleum, DAP, Zinsser, Tremco, Stonhard and Carboline. Roop & Co. designed a magazine-styled annual report that featured a fold-out cover detailing the company’s 11-year financial highlights, a Q&A with the CEO, which offered a platform to conversationally discuss RPM’s opportunities and challenges, as well as two business reply cards; one surveyed investors on their preferred methods of communication and the other encouraged them to enroll in RPM’s Dividend Reinvestment Plan. Since the 85,000 annual report copies were distributed, more than 3,000 of the business reply cards were returned, a nearly four percent response rate. The award winning, reader-friendly annual report was well received by stockholders, financial analysts and employees alike.
