Vince Powers

Vince has 20 years of experience as a public relations consultant with firms in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia.  Throughout his career, he has specialized in corporate, business-to-business and crisis communications, and has provided guidance and counsel to clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies including McDonald’s Corporation, Mobil Oil and Johnson & Johnson, to non-profit and association groups including Schuylkill River Development Corp., Computers for Youth and Metropolitan Career Center.

A co-founder of the firm, Vince works with clients including AMC Institute, an international association representing the association management company industry, Delaware Park in Wilmington, Del., real estate developers including The Goldenberg Group and Brown Hill Development, and non-profits Computers for Youth and NDRI (National Disease Research Interchange).

Prior to launching D+P, Vince was president of BTC Public Relations in Wayne, Pa., representing regional and national clients including The Melrose Hotel Company and Reliance Standard Life Insurance.  Previously, he was vice president with Tierney Communications in Philadelphia.  He launched his career with Porter Novelli in Washington, D.C.

Vince also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Villanova University where he teaches Introduction to Public Relations to communication majors. 

He is president of the board of directors of Delaware Valley Habitat for Humanity, and a member of the board of directors of Cabrini College, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Small Businesses and A Better Philadelphia, Inc.

In 2005, Vince was named a recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal “40 Under 40” award, which recognizes the region’s most accomplished young professionals who are proven performers in both their industry and community.

Vince holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Classics from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pa. and a Masters degree in Business Communication from Temple University, Philadelphia.
