“Outreach Is Key for Obama's Transition,” PRWeek US

When President-elect Barack Obama will take office as the 44th president, he will be facing historic challenges, including a near catastrophic collapse of the economy, two wars, and a much-maligned image abroad. To uphold its promise of greater transparency, the administration is likely to communicate the importance of “shared responsibility” in this economic crisis, while at the same time issuing a “much wider call for the public to weigh in.” Neil Dhillon, North American director of public affairs and MD of MS&L's Washington office, says to gain support, the administration should treat it like a grassroots effort and visit “every market, not just the major cities.”
