01/11/2005

Following his promotion last year to director, Asia Pacific, Manning Selvage & Lee (MS&L) announced today that Glenn Osaki is beginning a two-year assignment in Shanghai and Tokyo. Brenda Lynch, currently co-managing director of MS&L Los Angeles with Osaki, is now managing director and assumes full responsibility for the office.

Since being named director, Asia Pacific last year, Osaki has leveraged MS&L’s partnership with Dentsu PR (DPR), the leading PR firm in Japan, and expanded relationships with several MS&L clients throughout Asia.

In his new role, Osaki will work closely with Fiona Cohen, managing director, MS&L Greater China, to enhance MS&L's Asia Pacific network and foster integration with other Publicis Groupe companies and partners in the region. He will support many of MS&L's key global clients in the region, including Philips, Sanofi-Aventis, and Sunkist Growers. Osaki begins his assignment in Shanghai on January 15.

“There are tremendous growth opportunities in the Asia Pacific region and many of our largest clients have cited these markets as a priority,” said Louis Capozzi, MS&L chairman and chief executive officer. “By leveraging local talent and resources, and bringing the agency's best practices from his five-year tenure as managing director in Los Angeles, Glenn will ensure we are providing our global clients with the best service in the industry.”

Osaki has served as managing director of MS&L Los Angeles since 1999. During that time, the office has been consistently cited by industry publications as one of the top creative firms on the West Coast. During his 18-year career with MS&L, Osaki has received some three dozen public relations awards for clients in consumer marketing, corporate communications and public affairs, including Nestle, Nike, Philips, Sunkist, General Motors, Procter & Gamble, Blockbuster Video, and the State of California.

Lynch, who has been co-managing director of MS&L Los Angeles since last year, is a 15-year veteran of the firm. She has managed MS&L’s consumer marketing and consumer technology practices in North America. Her background includes extensive experience in Internet, e-commerce, consumer electronics, networking solutions and interactive entertainment. Throughout her career at MS&L, she has led award-winning public relations campaigns for a range of clients including LeapFrog, Mattel, Sega, Disney and eBay.
