MS&L's Boston Office Hires Scott Beaudoin as SVP, Consumer Marketing and Director, Cause Marketing

Boston 07/21/2008

Manning Selvage & Lee (MS&L) today announced it has appointed Scott Beaudoin as senior vice president of consumer marketing and director of cause marketing in its Boston office.   His appointment is effective immediately.

Beaudoin, who has more than 15 years of consumer and cause marketing experience, will be responsible for leading major consumer programs and growing the office’s consumer practice.  He will also help continue to develop the agency’s award-winning cause marketing expertise across North America.

“Insight-driven cause-related marketing programs can serve as powerful branding vehicles that build deeper relationships with consumers, employees and shareholders,” says Jim Tsokanos, MS&L’s North American president.  “Scott’s proven track record in consumer and cause marketing will deliver significant value for clients on a national scale.”

Beaudoin, a former Emmy-award winning journalist, was most recently with Schneider public relations in Boston, where he was responsible for the strategic direction and execution of campaigns for several of the agency’s top clients, including Woolite, Milliken & Company and IXI Mobile. He previously led consumer and cause-related programs for Devries public relations in New York and Cone LLC in Boston.  His work has included the Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives campaign, General Mills Box Tops for Education initiative and the ConAgra Foods Feeding Children Better program. He also worked closely with CVS/pharmacy to develop and successfully launch their award-winning, multi-year, multi-million dollar CVS All Kids Can program, the largest corporate initiative solely focused on supporting children with disabilities in the United States.

MS&L has developed and executed a number of successful cause marketing campaigns for leading consumer brands, focusing on advancing positive social outcomes that reinforce both the client’s values as an enterprise and the values held by its consumers and key stakeholders. MS&L’s “Take A Stand” program for Sunkist Growers was honored as the PRWeek Cause-Related Campaign of the Year in 2007.

"New England is a melting pot of some of the most socially responsible brands, discerning consumers, educational influencers and leading national non-profits," says Ed Cafasso, managing director of MS&L Boston. "Basing MS&L's cause marketing specialty in Boston puts us at the center of the latest marketplace trends and insights. With Scott’s expertise, we will be in great position to fuel brand-driven consumer programs for companies in both the U.S. and Canada."
