The mission of MSLGROUP’s global ECO Network is clear: To help clients succeed in the midst of an enormous cultural shift in attitudes about energy and the environment by bringing clients’ values to life and building trust with critical audiences.  The philosophy driving our green work is pragmatic and proven – we are in the business of "ECOnomics".  It is no longer a matter of corporate citizenship or sustainability, but driving business value.

The transparency we apply to our own philosophy is one we insist on with our clients.  It is critical that business objectives and green operations be communicated in tandem.  ECO stakeholders are keenly aware that green is good for business as well as the environment.  To play in the green space, MSLGROUP creates a voice for clients and helps facilitate dialogue among opinion leaders.

This approach has been applied successfully to environmental and energy programs for clients including General Motors, The Home Depot, Philips, the U.S. Department of Energy, Marathon, Best Buy, Akeena Solar, and the state of Georgia.

MSLGROUP’s ECO capabilities include corporate reputation communications and program development; eco-friendly technology and product introductions; community and public affairs; crisis communications; issues management and stakeholder relations; as well as corporate responsibility consulting and program development to support local, national and global initiatives. 

Our comprehensive approach draws on strong energy and environmental expertise and multiple disciplines across several offices including corporate and public affairs in Washington, DC; consumer and social network campaigns in Los Angeles; and B2B and corporate programs in Detroit, Atlanta, New York and London.

The latest client to join MSLGROUP’s ECO practice is Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, which has appointed MSLLondon and Capital MSL to support the company’s global expansion.  MSL Washington, DC works with a range of clients to strengthen corporate reputation and promote renewable fuels and advanced automotive technologies.  The Los Angeles office recently launched a cutting-edge green consumer influencer program.

As part of our own commitment to the environment, MSLGROUP will continue to pursue new policies designed to make its business operations more sustainable. As one example, Capital MSL in London recently achieved Carbon Neutral status. Capital MSL works with The CarbonNeutral Company to calculate its remaining CO2 emissions and offset them through investment in projects around the world.  In Jamaica, Capital MSL is working with The CarbonNeutral Company to promote energy efficiency by distributing compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) in low income neighborhoods.
